Aleck S. Genecov
The Genecov Group traces its roots to 1925, when Aleck S. Genecov established what would become a multi-generational family enterprise. A U.S. Army veteran and immigrant who settled in Waco as a child, Mr. Genecov moved to Tyler in 1935 with his wife, Hilda. His early investments — ranchland rich in oil and gas — laid the foundation for a business built on vision, resourcefulness, and deep East Texas roots.
Robert Muntz
He was succeeded by his son-in-law, Robert Muntz—a successful businessman in his own right—, who married Aleck’s daughter, Maurine.
Dennis Darryl
Robert Muntz was then succeeded by his son-in-law, Dennis Darryl, who formed The Genecov Group, Inc. in 1997 and transformed the Company into the growth structure that it has successfully held for many years. Mr. Darryl established a strong working culture that incorporates humor, a deep sense of care for Company employees, and an innate drive to think outside of the box.
Felicity Reedy
Mr. Darryl transitioned into his role as Chairman of the Board in 2000, at which point Felicity Reedy was named President and CEO of the Company, where she remained until 2015. Her keen management of the Company during her tenure is undoubtedly one of the primary reasons that the Company is in such a healthy position today.
Ray McKinney
In 2016, Ray McKinney, CPA, was elected President and CEO of the Company and currently serves in that capacity.
We owe much to our past and present employees, who have invested their time, talent, and commitment into the well-being of the company. Their dedication has driven our progress across every area of the organization, from our energy investments to our office, retail, medical, restaurant, and industrial spaces. They’ve also played a vital role in the development of our commercial land, residential real estate, and philanthropic endeavors. We look forward to the future with equal enthusiasm and excitement.

Our goal:
Stewardship
Local roots. Lasting impact.
Today, we remain a local, family-owned company devoted to developing thriving communities. And that starts with listening to the citizens of East Texas.
After 100+ years in business, we know commercial real estate means concrete, construction, and contracts. But we also know those realities can be leveraged to foster community, culture, and quality of life.
That’s why we make decisions based on real-life impact, along with strategic thinking and a long-term commitment to East Texas.
Our approach:
Partnership
To create spaces that fit the culture and personality of a town, we not only listen to its people – we lock arms with top-of-the-line partners across sectors, cities, and skill sets.
